District Administrator's Welcome

Vince Breunig, District Administrator

Welcome to School District of Lodi

Here, our staff, administration, and Board of Education are united in a shared commitment to working alongside families and the broader community to create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for every student. This commitment is reflected in our district mission:

“In partnership with our community, nurturing every student’s potential for growth and opportunities —          socially, mentally, and academically — in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment to create                    innovative problem solvers.”

Designing Our Future, Together
This mission drives the innovation and care that define our district. To ensure we continue meeting our community's high standards, we spent last year refreshing our district's strategic plan to deeply understand your priorities. Alongside this work, our Community Viability Team, a dedicated group of local stakeholders, provided crucial recommendations to the Board of Education regarding our facilities and outdoor athletic green spaces.

By aligning this community feedback with our strategic plan, the Board has officially placed two referendum questions (one operational and one capital) before voters on the November 3 ballot. The direct goal of these two questions is to ensure we can protect and continue providing the exceptional, top-tier learning experiences Lodi is known for well into the near future.

Academic Excellence & Global Horizons
At the heart of our daily work is a commitment to creating a strong sense of belonging. Whether through our STEAM labs in every building, our project-based charter school, the high school Discovery Center and Fabrication Lab, or our extensive Advanced Placement and fine arts offerings, we strive to meet students where they are.

Our district of over 1400 students consistently boasts ACT scores that surpass state averages and earned a "Significantly Exceeds Expectations" rating on the State Accountability Report Card. We are also proud to be the only school district in Wisconsin to offer a distance-learning class taught directly by an educator in another country, our Cultural Geography of Southeast Asia course, live from Thailand. Combined with our sister-school exchanges in Germany and Costa Rica, Lodi students truly learn that they are part of a global community.

A Vibrant Community to Call Home
Spanning 92 square miles across Columbia and Dane counties, encompassing beautiful landmarks like Gibraltar Rock, the Ice Age Trail, and Lake Wisconsin, our district blends rich local tradition with forward-thinking opportunities.

No matter their interests, students in the School District of Lodi gain the skills to thrive wherever their dreams take them. We are incredibly grateful to our families for their continued trust, involvement, and partnership. Together, we are going to make this school year incredible and prove once again that Bright Futures Start Here.
