District Administrator's Welcome

Vince Breunig, District Administrator

Welcome to School District of Lodi

Here, our staff, administration, and Board of Education are united in a shared commitment to working alongside families and the broader community to create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for every student. This commitment is reflected in our district mission:

“In partnership with our community, nurturing every student’s potential for growth and opportunities — socially, mentally, and academically — in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment to create innovative problem solvers.”

This mission drives the innovation and care that define our district. At the heart of our work is a commitment to creating a strong sense of belonging and providing the support every student needs to thrive. Whether through our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) labs in every building, our project-based charter school, the high school Discovery Center and Fabrication Lab, or our extensive Advanced Placement and fine arts offerings — we strive each day to meet students where they are and help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

For those new to the area, the School District of Lodi spans 92 square miles across Columbia and Dane counties and includes landmarks such as Gibraltar Rock State Natural Area, the Ice Age Trail, and Lake Wisconsin. Located within commuting distance of Madison, Wisconsin Dells, and Portage, our district serves approximately 1,500 students across four school buildings. We provide a variety of academic support programs, including flexible scheduling and extended learning opportunities. Our ACT scores consistently surpass state averages, and we regularly earn an "Exceeds Expectations" and the area's highest rating on the State Accountability Report Card. We’re also proud to be recognized at both the state and national levels for expanding access to Advanced Placement coursework and achieving strong AP exam results, all while actively connecting students with local and regional businesses to explore real-world career pathways across a wide range of industries.

At Lodi, students are encouraged to play as hard as they work. Our district offers a wide range of clubs, teams, and activities that enrich student experiences — including competitive athletics, band and choir programs, theater productions, Mock Trial, Forensics, FFA, and international studies. We have active sister-school exchanges with Thailand, Germany, and Costa Rica. Lodi High School is the only school in Wisconsin to offer a class taught via distance learning by a teacher located in another country — our Cultural Geography of Southeast Asia course, led by an educator in Thailand.

No matter their interests, students in the School District of Lodi learn that they are part of a global community — and they gain the skills to thrive wherever their dreams take them. We are proud to develop well-rounded, engaged learners who represent our schools and community with integrity, curiosity, and Lodi Pride. We believe wholeheartedly that:

Bright Futures Start Here.
