MOCK TRIAL
Each year more than 1,700 students around the state of Wisconsin participate in the Wisconsin High School Mock Trial Tournament. These students represented both public and private schools from all over Wisconsin.
All teams receive a fictional case and must prepare as lawyers and witnesses to try the case before judges. The competition requires critical and creative thinking and it also helps student develop a knowledge of the law and legal procedures as well as public and impromptu speaking skills.
Mock trial is a "no-cut" activity, meaning any student who wishes to participate will be placed on a team. However, teams are ranked based and experience and skill.
Practice Schedule:
The Lodi Mock Trial team typically practices 2 nights per week from 3:30 to 5:00 and the varsity team practices 3 nights per week. Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (varsity also on Monday).
Competitions:
Scrimmage trials are held throughout the season but all students are required to attend the Regional Competition which takes place on the second Saturday in February.
Season:
Mock Trail begins in mid-October and runs through early February. However, if teams advance to the state or national level the season can run into March and or early May.

FORENSICS
Lodi High School has a tremendous and acclaimed history as a forensics powerhouse, not only in its conference and district, but also in the entire state of Wisconsin. Nearly every year, LHS has brought home the prestigious Excellence in Speech Award, given to the top five percent of over 375 schools and 5000 students who participate at the Wisconsin High School Forensic Association state competition. For over the past 25 years, the team has also placed in the top six in the state at the Wisconsin Forensics Coaches Association State Tournament.
You can become part of this illustrious tradition at LHS by joining the forensics team. How? Just come to an organizational meeting in October and sign up with Mrs. Easley. What else is needed? You need to sign an activities code, pay your $60 activity fee (if you haven’t already paid it for another activity), be academically eligible, and be willing to practice hard and attend competitions and the annual LHS 4N6 Open House.
Signup is usually completed by November 1, pieces selected and speeches written by mid-November, and practices begin by the end of November and continue into January when the tournament trail begins.
The current plan for performances includes a potential five invitationals, the Wisconsin Forensics Coaches Association’s competition, the Wisconsin High School Forensics Association’s sequence of meets (subdistrict, district, and state), the Capitol Conference meet, the Lodi Invitational, and the annual Lodi High School Forensics Open House held the week before the state WHSFA competition.

SPRING PLAY
Come play with us! The Play is a great time for actors (experienced or not) and anyone interested in working in the tech booth or behind the scenes. Rehearsals are usually in the evening starting around 6:30. If you don't want to appear on stage, then backstage or tech booth work might be more your style. Help with props, costuming, lighting, moving set pieces, box office and ushering is always needed. Past shows have run the gamut from period comedies and dramas, to farce and Shakespeare. Many of our student actors and techies have gone on to work on stage in college and university, or are working in the entertainment industry as performers or technical personnel. We look forward to seeing you in the theater!

If you have dancing, tumbling or cheerleading experience (or even if you don't), try out for the Football Cheerleading squad! Football cheerleading tryouts are held in May to determine the squad for the following school year. We start practice in Mid-July and head to Cheer Camp sometime in August. We perform at every home & away game during the football season. Anyone is able to try out for the squad (boys or girls). BOYS’ BASEBALL
Spring sport that runs from approximately March 20th until the end of the school year. If numbers exist, we try to create three teams...varsity, JV, and JV reserve. Pre-season practices involve 2 sessions - one usually in the morning, and then one again after school. Times for these practices may vary because of other teams that need to use the gym, and the weather. Once our spring schedule starts, we usually practice from 3:40 pm until around 5:30 pm. NOTE: With the use of the new baseball field in Dane, there will also be days where the varsity team will travel there to practice, so once again the schedule may change somewhat according to practice plans. Beginning with next spring's game schedule (2011), all Varsity games will be played at Dane beginning at 4:45 pm (unless noted otherwise) while all JV and JV reserve games will be played at the elementary field beginning at the same time. The varsity schedule consists of 26 games (weather permitting) while the JV and JV reserve teams usually play an average of 18-22 games, again depending on varsity scheduling and the weather.
The foundation for the Lodi High School Baseball Program is built on our players' hard work, dedication, and the ability to be a good teammate. Coaches expect players to show respect for themselves, their teammates, their coaches, their school, and their community at all times. To play baseball is a privilege, and we expect each young man that plays in this program to abide by this simple rule at all times.

GOLF
Season runs from the last week in March through May and possibly into June depending on how far we go in the WIAA Tournament. An Underclassman is typically done aound May 25th.
Everyone is encouraged to join the team. No one is cut, but if you do return, the coaching staff will expect time put in in the off season and if the returning player returns having not improved and not on the varsity, they will be placed on the team in a limited basis given instruction once a week. Others will be given a pass to use the course as they can, be placed in at least 3 meets on a level matching their ability.
A varsity letter can only be won if your play in ½ of the varsity matches. Also, attendance and grades do factor into opportunity to play.
