State Superintendent approves modified start date for the 2017-18 School Year to be August 21, 2017

As part of the district remodeling and building construction projects approved as part of the November 2016 referendum the Board of Education requested a modified start date for the 2017-18 school year. The State Superintendent has reviewed and has approved the district request to start school this coming fall on August 21, 2017.  This modified start date will also provide for school to get out earlier in May 2018. The purpose of this request was to provide a longer summer for building construction, scheduled remodeling, and the necessary relocation of staff and materials to be accomplished before the start of school in September 2018.
